MONEY MAGAZINE/ICR POLL: HOW MUCH DO YOU PLAN ON SPENDING ON
MOM?
NEW YORK, NY [April 6, 2006] The start of Spring means Mothers
Day is right around the bend. A recent
Money Magazine/ICR poll revealed more Americans (39%) intend to spend less than
$50 dollars when purchasing a Mothers Day gift for their moms this year. The poll, which surveyed 1,010 Americans, also found
three-in-ten Americans (31%) do not plan on purchasing a present at all.
So whos looking out for dear old
mom? Americans with higher incomes (44%
$75K+), a higher education (35% college graduate or higher), and those with
young children in their household (36% with children under age 12) all intend
to shell out $50 or more.
