Women Say Size Doesn't Matter - At
Least in Some Places, According to New Haggar Survey

DALLAS,
June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- When it comes to men's bodies, size doesn't matter
after all -- at least in some places, survey finds.
Most women believe that a man's
waist is the one part of his body where an extra inch or two doesn't matter,
according to a new national survey of women, commissioned by Haggar Clothing
Co. to launch its new Comfort Fit pants.
Eighty-one percent of the 653
respondents said that when it comes to the man they love, they wouldn't mind
if he added an extra inch or two around the waist. Additionally, 86% of
those surveyed also agreed that men look more attractive when they look
comfortable in what they are wearing.
"Women are often the ones who
do the shopping for the men in their lives," said Gary Aronson, senior
vice president of merchandising at Haggar, "and increasingly, we're
seeing a demand for pants that are comfortable. Comfort Fit pants move with
the body -- they provide an extra inch of comfort around the waist."
Haggar, a leading manufacturer of
men's pants, interprets the results as a sign that women are increasingly
accepting of men who have "a little bit more to love" around the
waist. The company's new line of men's Comfort Fit pants feature an
invisible stretch waistband that actually gives an extra inch of comfort to
the wearer, by expanding as the waist expands.
Pennsylvania-based
International
Communications Research (ICR) conducted the survey, which has a margin
of error of +/- 3.8%.
